These asymmetric copper earrings are born of my desire to capture what vapour would look like in metal ‘clothing’.
The design (and desire) came to me when I was drinking a cup of tea and saw the smoke rise in billows. Now I know I shouldn’t follow every whim of my eager designer’s mind, but this turned out ok – IMHO.
These are edgy and not for everyone. All metal and nothing else – they juxtapose the transience of vapour with the solidness of copper. They also make for a fabulous twiddling device – in case you need the tactile soothing.
You can wear them with anything you like, but I see them with denim or leather. Or with any time when you need to show some attitude.
Check them out in real life:
Maybe they’ll remind you that every moment in life is transient – like vapour. As well - that every moment in life can be sealed permanently in our memories – IF we choose to.
If you love them – enjoy them by making them your own (priced at £70).
Size: The one earring is 6.5cm long by 3cm wide. And the other 5cm long by 2cm wide.
Materials: Pure copper - nothing added - no chemicals or heat. Beautifully expressive. Very easy to clean - just see my Care Tips page.
